About

This program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to sit for the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) Certified Professional Coder (CPC) national exam. Over 26 weeks, students will master medical coding principles using the three primary coding manuals: CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II.

The curriculum also covers electronic health records, records management, medical software, healthcare insurance, billing, medical law, ethics, HIPAA, and medical terminology. The program includes a CPC bootcamp that lasts 16 weeks. Students will be equipped to organize and input health information data and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.

The program prepares students for entry-level roles in the healthcare industry, such as Medical Records Technician, Claim Scrubber, Front Desk Specialist, Medical Biller/Coder, or Insurance Verification Specialist.

Upon program completion, students receive a Certificate of Completion in Medical Billing & Coding Specialist. The school follows an AAPC-approved curriculum to prepare students for the AAPC Certified Professional Coder exam.

Candidates with background in allied health do not need to pay for the entire program and should only enroll for the CPC bootcamp which only takes 16 weeks.
